Dented Brick® Bottled in Bond Straight Rye Whiskey is a celebration of American whiskey heritage, proudly crafted under the strict standards of the Bottled in Bond Act of 1897. Every bottle represents authenticity, transparency, and craftsmanship; distilled, aged, and bottled at our Salt Lake City distillery to deliver the purest expression of straight rye whiskey. This exceptional spirit is proofed with on-site artesian, limestone filtered well water, bringing out the distinct purity, depth, and mineral complexity that define Dented Brick® spirits.
The Bottled in Bond Act of 1897
The Bottled in Bond Act of 1897 was one of the first U.S. consumer protection laws, designed to ensure whiskey quality and authenticity. To meet these uncompromising standards, our whiskey is:
- Produced by one distiller at one distillery during a single distilling season.
- Aged a minimum of four years in a federally bonded warehouse.
- Aged in barrels where char levels vary between 2, 3 , and 4.
- Bottled at exactly 100 proof (50% ABV).
Fun Fact: Our newly added Pure Rye symbol is a nod to an old historic designation.
TASTING NOTES
Aroma: Vanilla, toasted oak, cinnamon, and nutmeg, unfolding into orange peel, caramel, and clove.
Palate: Layers of vanilla, citrus, brown sugar, and cinnamon rise to a smooth crescendo of oak and clove.
Finish: Semi-dry and spicy, with lingering notes of cinnamon, orange peel, almond, black pepper, nutmeg, and oak.
