Dented Brick® Chardonnay Cask Finished Straight Rye Whiskey is a bold innovation in American whiskey-making combining the spice and depth of 100% rye with the elegant fruit notes of Chardonnay wine. Crafted entirely from grain-to-glass at our Salt Lake City distillery, this spirit showcases the artistry of traditional rye distillation elevated by an unexpected finishing touch.

how it's made
Each batch begins with 100% rye grain, which is milled, mashed, fermented, and distilled in-house at Dented Brick® Distillery. The whiskey is first matured for a minimum of two years in new American oak barrels, with varying degrees of char levels of 2, 3, and 4 to develop a solid backbone of spice, caramel, and oak. For its finishing touch, the whiskey is rested for an additional 2 years in former-fill Hells Canyon Winery Chardonnay casks, where it absorbs layers of fruit complexity and a soft, vinous character. Finally, it is brought to proof with pure artesian, limestone-filtered water sourced directly from the snowy peaks of the Rocky Mountains.

Palate: Smooth and layered with apricot, toasted oak, and a touch of clove.
Finish: Long and complex, with lingering notes of cinnamon and white wine.
