Every bottle in this release comes from a single barrel. That means a limited quantity—and a whiskey that captures the particular balance of rye spice, oak, and sweetness developed within that barrel.
What Makes Single Barrel Special?
Even barrels filled with the same whiskey can develop different personalities as they mature. Oak, time, and conditions during aging help shape each barrel’s aroma, flavor, and finish.
A single barrel release preserves that individuality. Rather than combining whiskey from several barrels, we bottle one barrel’s expression, allowing its character to take center stage.
Once this barrel’s bottles are gone, this particular expression is gone with them. A future barrel will tell its own story.
Bottled in Bond: A Standard You Can Understand
The Bottled in Bond Act of 1897 was one of the first U.S. consumer protection laws, designed to ensure whiskey quality and authenticity. To meet these uncompromising standards, our whiskey is:
- Produced by one distiller at one distillery during a single distilling season.
- Aged a minimum of four years in a federally bonded warehouse.
- Aged in barrels where char levels vary between 2, 3 , and 4.
- Bottled at exactly 100 proof (50% ABV).

We mill, mash, ferment, distill, and age our rye whiskey in-house at Dented Brick® Distillery in South Salt Lake, Utah.
Before bottling, we bring this release to 100 proof using water from our own artesian well. From the work on the distillery floor to the years spent aging, this whiskey reflects our hands-on approach to making spirits with character.
Tasting Notes
Aroma: Vanilla and toasted oak meet warm baking spice, with hints of caramel and orange zest.
Palate: Rounded sweetness balances lively rye spice, revealing brown sugar, citrus, cinnamon, and oak.
Finish: A lingering, semi-dry finish with pepper, clove, nutmeg, and a touch of almond.
